Don’t forget that Father’s Day is this Sunday. Whether your dad lives on the Gulf Coast, is in town for a work trip or coming soon for the family vacation, here are some ideas to treat the special man in your life.

Fishing Charter

For the dads who like to be out on the water, consider a fishing charter as a gift. Dad can head off shore or down the back bays of the Gulf for the day with a captain of your choosing. Click here for a list of all of the area fishing boats available for charter. Whether he wants to go alone or enjoy the day with friends and family, he can cast a reel, grab a beer, relax and wait for the fish to bite while taking in the beautiful landscape.

A Concert

If your father enjoys music, take him to see a live concert at the Wharf Amphitheatre, a 10,000 seat entertainment venue that hosts national and regional performers throughout the year. There are tons of great options to choose from this summer including Journey, Florida Georgia Line, Kenny Chesney and Matchbox Twenty, just to name a few. Check out the whole line up and purchase tickets here.

Flora-Bama Bloody Mary Mix

Located on the Florida-Alabama line, our Gulf Coast cultural landmark, The Flora-Bama is a gulf front oyster and beach bar since 1964. The folks at this legendary roadhouse offer a Bloody Mary mix as well. They use their own special blended mix that comes in Regular or Smokin’ Hot. So stop on by as there are lots of options in their retail store at 17401 Perdido Key Drive for the laid back dads on your list.

Mini Golf

Bring out the kid in both of you by inviting dad for a game of miniature golf. No matter what age you each are, it is a fun-filled way to spend some quality time with your pops. The Wharf’s course is challenging for adults but easy enough for kids to navigate. It is open daily from 12pm-9pm and costs $7 per person while kids 4 & under play for free. You never know who will get the most hole in ones!

The Pantry

There’s nothing like made from scratch cooking to warm any man’s heart. Order a gourmet meal from The Pantry, Orange Beach Concierge’s easy to use e-commerce site. The menu includes a bites section that includes Chicken Salad, French Onion Dip and Pimento Cheese while soups feature Gumbo YaYa and Chef David’s well known Phos. The new site also offers half and full pans available for salads, side dishes and entrees. All orders must be placed by Thursday at midnight for pick up the following Monday or Wednesday from 12PM to 5PM.

While these are just a few choices, you know your dad best so be sure and do something special that he will remember for a lifetime!
