At Eat Y’all Chef Camp, chefs are introduced to the best Southern grown and made ingredients. Chefs are given the opportunity to meet farmers and markers, promoting the farm to table style. The event also gives chefs the opportunity to be around like-minded people, and embrace the creativity of other culinary professionals. Chef David Pan was honored to attend the August 22-23 Chef Camp this year.
Chef Pan, and other top chefs from across the south, enjoyed pecan truffle hunting, learning about pecan and pecan oil product, and visiting a nearby produce farm operation at Pecan Ridge Plantation in Bainbridge, Georgia. “It is wonderful to step outside of my kitchen and network with my peers, I find it inspirational. Being on the farms and learning from the farmers directly is invaluable. If you get the opportunity to attend Chef Camp, take the time and go. Eat Y’all and their team will help you grow, learn and develop your craft more than words can explain.” – David Pan
