Brunch is a combination of breakfast and lunch eaten usually during the late morning but it can extend to as late as 3pm.  The word is a portmanteau of breakfast and lunch.  Brunch originated in England in the late 19th century and became popular in the United States in the 1930s. – Wikipedia.

We always get the question, “Where do we go out to eat when Orange Beach Concierge is not cooking for us?  And where do we go to brunch?”

With Easter upon us and with the beaches filled with families here for Spring Break, our favorite picks for eating out are listed below and they just happen to serve Easter Brunch.

Chef David and I love brunch;  here is The Short List:

Fisher’s at Orange Beach Marina –  Houses two restaurants under one roof, each devoted to creating mouth-watering cuisine that complement the two waterfront dining experiences: Upstairs and Dockside, both of which are recommended by Southern Living.  Chef Bill Briand and his food;  we adore!

Villaggio Grille – Italian Fusion has never tasted so good!  Talented chefs and pristine ingredients create a dining experience so enjoyable you won’t want it to end!  The Flats, Chargrilled Caesar and Pancetta Macaroni and Cheese and their bar make for a great date, day or night.

Louisiana Lagniappe – For over thirty years known for their Gulf seafood with a Creole flair.  The attire is casual, yet an upscale waterfront dining experience is provided for the entire family.  Eggplant Orleans and Grouper Louisianne, classic creole food in Orange Beach.

Cobalt, The Restaurant – Features authentic dishes crafted by renowned chefs in three distinct kitchens.  Nestled under the Perdido Bay Bridge, next to Caribe Resort, patrons can enjoy a spectacular view of the bay from every table.  Best view in Orange Beach while dining.

Brick & Spoon – Good food, good drinks, good entertainment all get together at Brick & Spoon every day.  You and your friends and family should too!  The Bloody Mary’s are build-able and unforgettable.

The Gulf – Just a little beach bar with an amazing view, serving thoughtful food inspired by the Gulf of Mexico. Oh, and the building is made from repurposed shipping containers and they spin vinyl.  Bring the puppy and plan to stay for hours.

Anchor Bar and Grill – Best Bar Flare on The Island.  But it is so much more.  True farm to table fiddles and the “Blue Mule” is awesome.

Happy Easter to you and yours.  May the Easter Bunny bring you all the sweets and treats you desire and be sure to visit each of our favorite culinary destinations when you are not sharing your time with us.

xxoo,

Chef David
